the-lost-cats:

I found the bobcat resting on the east end of Mesquite Ridge today, close to the pipe that Krinkle lives in. He laid in the grass a moment, then slowly headed along the ridge turning his head to look at me once. He vanished down the path into the Wilderness area. I followed, but the underbrush is much too dense. He looks to be young,at least two years old but is not the one I saw last fall near the Old Mill. He does look like the one I saw hunting in February on Mesquite Ridge, and is likely responsible for most, if not all, of the cats who have gone missing near Mesquite Ridge over the past year.

Even as I photographed this guy I could see cats no more than sixty feet away gathered around the east feeding board. The bobcat appeared to have no interest them at the moment though.

I can’t <3 this post, but gorgeous photo.

The central feeding station on Mesquite Ridge in the background. In the foreground there is a hollow stump with food on it that Wilding is eating from. Wilding is prone to excited bursts of energy, that occasionally alarm the other cats around him.

Love this - the two black cats staring at the yellow tabby, with the grey in the foreground

the-lost-cats:

I’d seen this cat climb up this tree before, so I went to it and started looking. I walked across dry crunchy leaves, so I figured it would be there and keeping an eye on me, so I just searched through the foliage looking for a pair of watching eyes. And there it was.

Anonymous said: you are not a feminist

lightningsanity:

You know, a week ago I would have disagreed strongly with that statement, but now I don’t know. I believe in equal rights regardless of gender, and with the direction that feminism seems to be going, I’m not sure if “feminist” is the correct label for that any longer.

Other people don’t get to decide if you call yourself a feminist.
